Australian Communications Industry Forum Independent Organisation.  Member funded. ACIF was established in 1997 to facilitate communications self-regulation in the interests of both industry and consumers. Its membership comprises carriers/carriage service providers, business and residential consumer groups, industry associations and individual companies.

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Government Organisation. The ACCC promotes competition and fair trade in the market place to benefit consumers, business and the community. It also regulates national infrastructure services.

Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association Consumer Group.  Industry member funded. AMTA's members include mobile phone carriers, handset manufacturers, retail outlets, network equipment suppliers and other suppliers to the industry. Its mission is "To promote an environmentally, socially and economically responsible and successful mobile telecommunications industry in Australia".

Australian Telecommunications Users Group Independent Organisation.  Member funded. ATUG is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation of Australian telecommunications users and has been working for better choice, value and services in the sector since 1981.

Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts Government Organisation. The Telecommunications Division of the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts is responsible for providing advice to the Government on Australian telecommunications policy and administering programs to improve telecommunications services, particularly for those living and working in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia.

Mobilised News group, Independent. News about mobile computing and communications.  Topics include: Smartphones, Notebooks, PDA & Pen Based, Connectivity, Solutions, Storage, Security, Software, Carrier News, Reseller News, Manufacturer News and Distributor News.

Service Providers Association Inc. Consumer Group. Industry Member funded. SPAN is the national body that represents service providers in established and emerging communications technologies, and related organisations, in Australia.

Small Enterprise Telecommunications Centre Limited Consumer Group.  Government funded. SETEL's role is to advance the interests of small, micro and home business as consumers of telecommunications services with industry, government and regulators.

Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Independent Organisation.  Industry funded. The TIO is a free and independent alternative dispute resolution scheme for small business and residential consumers in Australia who have a complaint about their telephone or Internet service.

Telecommunications Society of Australia Ltd Consumer Group.  Member funded. TSA was formed to provide a meeting place for telecommunications (ICT) professionals, promoting networking within the industry through all of the TSA's activities and facets.
